J. Epstein & Company — The Mystery Fortune
Founded his own firm, claiming to serve only clients with $1 billion+ in assets. His one confirmed client was Les Wexner (Victoria's Secret / L Brands). The source of his own $500M+ fortune was never explained — no large-scale financial operation was ever documented. Investigators and journalists raised questions about whether his wealth derived from intelligence work, blackmail, or other illicit means.
Epstein meets Ghislaine Maxwell, daughter of UK media mogul Robert Maxwell (who died in 1991). Their romantic relationship becomes a criminal partnership. Maxwell would later be convicted of recruiting and grooming underage girls for Epstein — a role she played for nearly three decades. Sentenced to 20 years in June 2022.

1991–2007
Les Wexner — Power of Attorney and the Manhattan Mansion
Wexner granted Epstein sweeping power of attorney and transferred the $77 million, 40-room Manhattan townhouse at 9 East 71st Street for approximately $0. Wexner severed ties in 2007, calling himself "betrayed." No criminal allegations against Wexner. JPMorgan later filed suspicious activity reports referencing $1B+ in transactions linked to Wexner, Dershowitz, Glenn Dubin, and Leon Black.
CONFIRMED — property transfer, SAR filing
1993
Little St. James Island Purchased — "Pedophile Island"
Epstein purchases the 75-acre private island in the U.S. Virgin Islands. Victims and workers called it "Pedophile Island." A mysterious blue-and-white striped temple-like structure was built whose purpose was never explained. The USVI government later sued the estate, settling for $105 million — establishing in settlement that trafficking occurred there.

Abuse Network Established — Palm Beach Operation Begins
Prosecutors established that Epstein's abuse of teenage girls began at least in the mid-1990s. Girls aged 13–17, largely from economically disadvantaged backgrounds in Palm Beach, were targeted through a pyramid recruitment scheme: offered cash for "massages," then groomed and abused. Those who complied were paid to recruit more girls. Recruiters included former victims. Ghislaine Maxwell coordinated scheduling and recruitment.

Maria Farmer Reports to the FBI — Ignored for a Decade
Adult artist Maria Farmer, employed by Epstein, reports to the FBI that both Epstein and Maxwell sexually assaulted her and her underage sister. The complaint is effectively ignored. It would be nearly a decade before law enforcement took Epstein's crimes seriously.
CONFIRMED — FBI records
1995–2005
Elite Social Network — Cultivation of the Powerful
Epstein systematically builds relationships across power centers: politicians, royalty, scientists, media figures. Donates to Harvard (Program for Evolutionary Dynamics), MIT, and other institutions. Hosts dinner parties attended by Nobel laureates, senators, and celebrities. His townhouse becomes a gathering place for the world's elite. Flight logs later document the social universe he built.

Virginia Giuffre (Roberts) — Recruited at 16
Giuffre says she was recruited by Maxwell at approximately 16 years old at Mar-a-Lago in Palm Beach, where she worked as a locker room attendant. Maxwell offered her a job as a "masseuse." She alleges years of trafficking to Epstein's associates, including Prince Andrew (three times, starting at age 17), Alan Dershowitz (later partially withdrawn), and others named in sealed documents. She became the most prominent public accuser and drove multiple legal actions.

Trump: "Terrific Guy" — New York Magazine
In a published New York magazine interview, Donald Trump describes Epstein as "a terrific guy" who is "a lot of fun to be with" and notes that Epstein "likes beautiful women as much as I do, and many of them are on the younger side." Trump and Epstein had been social acquaintances in the NYC/Palm Beach elite since at least the early 1990s.

Flight Logs — The "Lolita Express" Passenger List
FAA records entered into evidence document passengers on Epstein's Boeing 727, including: Bill Clinton (~26 flights, some without Secret Service), Donald Trump (at least 1 flight, confirmed by Sjoberg deposition), Kevin Spacey, Chris Tucker, Naomi Campbell, and others. Underage girls also appear as documented passengers on multiple flights. Victims allege abuse occurred onboard.

JUNE 2008
The Secret Plea Deal — "Deal of the Century"
Acosta secretly agrees to a Non-Prosecution Agreement (NPA) with Epstein's legal team (Dershowitz, Ken Starr, Roy Black, Martin Weinberg). Epstein pleads to two Florida state charges — solicitation of prostitution, and solicitation of a minor. He receives 18 months in Palm Beach County jail with work release (leaving 6 days/week up to 12 hours). Serves 13 months, released July 2009.
The NPA grants immunity to Epstein AND unnamed "co-conspirators." Victims are never told — a violation of the Crime Victims' Rights Act, ruled unlawful by federal judge Kenneth Marra in 2019. The deal effectively kills a case that could have sent Epstein to prison for life.
Registered Sex Offender — Life Continues Largely Unchanged
Despite being a registered sex offender, Epstein travels internationally, maintains elite connections, and — per victim testimony and civil suits — allegedly continues abusing minors. Prince Andrew is photographed walking with Epstein in Central Park in December 2010, after the conviction. Connections to Epstein begin costing executives their positions: Jes Staley (Barclays CEO) and Leon Black (Apollo Global) both faced consequences years later.

Bill Gates Meets Epstein — Post-Conviction
Bill Gates meets Epstein through a connection involving Gates Foundation scientific advisor Boris Nikolic. They meet multiple times at Epstein's Manhattan mansion, discussing philanthropy. Gates Foundation employees also meet with Epstein. Gates later describes the relationship as a "mistake." Jes Staley (Barclays CEO) is also linked to Epstein from this period as a trustee of his estate and close contact via JP Morgan's private banking division.

Alexander Acosta Resigns as Labor Secretary
Facing congressional and media pressure over his role in the 2008 NPA, Trump's Labor Secretary Alexander Acosta resigns. Reports emerge that during the Trump transition, Acosta told officials he had been told to back off Epstein because Epstein "belonged to intelligence" — a claim that has never been substantiated or officially confirmed.
First Incident in Cell — Possible Suicide Attempt or Assault
Epstein found semi-conscious in his MCC cell with marks on his neck. Officials debate whether it was a suicide attempt or assault by cellmate Nicholas Tartaglione (a former officer awaiting trial for murder). Epstein placed on suicide watch — then removed after approximately one week against BOP protocols. Multiple failures documented in the months leading to his death.

☠ Death at MCC New York — Official Ruling: Suicide
Epstein found unresponsive. Pronounced dead at 66. NYC Medical Examiner Dr. Barbara Sampson rules suicide by hanging. Independent pathologist Dr. Michael Baden (hired by Epstein's brother) disputes the ruling, arguing injuries — including multiple neck bone fractures — are more consistent with homicidal strangulation.
Documented failures: both cell cameras malfunctioned; his cellmate was transferred; guards falsified log records (they later pled guilty); suicide watch had been lifted prematurely; required checks were skipped while guards slept. The full circumstances have never been satisfactorily explained. In July 2025, a DOJ memo concluded no credible evidence of homicide, reaffirming the suicide ruling.

Prince Andrew's BBC Interview — Royal Crisis
Prince Andrew gives a disastrous BBC Newsnight interview denying all Giuffre's claims. The interview is widely considered one of the worst PR performances by a British royal in living memory.

Epstein Document Dumps — 950+ Pages Unsealed (Giuffre v. Maxwell)
Judge Loretta Preska orders release of previously sealed documents from Giuffre v. Maxwell (2015 civil suit). Over 950 pages released in multiple batches through January 2024. Documents name ~150 individuals in varying contexts (depositions, emails, testimony). Major mentions: Clinton, Trump, Prince Andrew, Dershowitz (130+ times), Glenn Dubin, Bill Richardson, Marvin Minsky, Michael Jackson (mentioned in passing), Stephen Hawking (Epstein email referencing alleged orgy — Epstein's own words, not proven), and many others.
The releases contained little that was entirely new, but confirmed and formalized what had been alleged for years. Most individuals mentioned were not accused of wrongdoing — context of mention varies greatly.

Epstein Files Transparency Act — 3 Million Pages Released
Congress passes the Epstein Files Transparency Act; Trump signs it. In January 2026, the DOJ releases approximately 3 million additional pages — including ~180,000 images and ~2,000 videos. The DOJ states this is its final release, claiming it has met legal obligations, despite an estimated 6 million pages total. The release is criticized by both parties as heavily redacted and lacking significant new revelations. A July 2025 DOJ memo had already concluded no "client list" exists and no credible blackmail evidence was found.
The USVI settled for $105M. JP Morgan settled for $290M. Deutsche Bank settled for $75M. Dozens of individual victim lawsuits settled. Maxwell's appeal is pending. No co-conspirators beyond Maxwell have been federally charged. The question of whether Maxwell cooperated with prosecutors — and named names — remains publicly unresolved. Investigations continue in France regarding Jean-Luc Brunel's network.

3 Million Pages Released — The Silicon Valley Shock
The DOJ releases 3+ million pages under the Epstein Files Transparency Act. The release includes 2,000 videos and 180,000 images. The documents document Epstein's contact with at least 20 prominent tech executives. Among the most explosive revelations: Elon Musk emailing Epstein asking "What day/night will be the wildest party on your island?" in 2012 — directly contradicting Musk's public claim he "REFUSED" island invitations. Howard Lutnick's family documented visiting the island in 2012 — contradicting his public claim of cutting ties with Epstein in 2005. Sergey Brin, Peter Thiel, Larry Page, and Jeff Bezos all named in various contexts.
DOJ simultaneously says this is its "final release." Critics note ~2 million pages remain unreleased. Victims' families express outrage that DOJ failed to redact identities of at least 31 child victims while redacting alleged perpetrators — "the exact opposite of what the law intended."

THE RECRUITMENT PIPELINE
How Victims Were Targeted
Prosecutors established a systematic pyramid: local girls 13–17, from disadvantaged backgrounds in Palm Beach and New York, targeted at schools, malls, community spaces. Offered $200–$300 for a "massage." Ghislaine Maxwell and assistants Sarah Kellen and Nadia Marcinkova coordinated appointments. Girls told to "be nice." Those who complied were recruited to bring more girls for a finder's fee — creating a self-replicating network. Jean-Luc Brunel contributed victims through his modeling network, recruiting disadvantaged Eastern European girls and bringing them to the US under false pretenses.

Johanna Sjoberg: Hired as an assistant at 20, turned into a "massage therapist." Testified in 2016 deposition (unsealed 2024) that Prince Andrew touched her breast during a photo. Recalled Epstein saying "Clinton likes them young." Witnessed Giuffre with Andrew at Epstein's Manhattan home.
Chauntae Davies: Massage therapist who flew on Epstein's jet. Described sexual assault by Epstein. Prominent in documentary accounts.
Sarah Ransome: Alleged she was trafficked to Epstein's island in 2006, where girls were given Victoria's Secret outfits upon arrival.

THE NUMBERS
Scale of the Operation
Palm Beach PD identified at least 36 victims. FBI identified 40+ victims. SDNY 2019 indictment cited "dozens" of girls as young as 14. The total is believed far higher — NDAs, shame, power disparities, and threats suppressed reporting for years. The pyramid recruitment structure meant the true victim count may never be fully known.
CONFIRMED — prosecution documents
THE COVER-UP
How the Network Was Protected
The NPA (2008): Secret deal shielded Epstein and unnamed co-conspirators. Ruled unlawful in 2019.
NDAs and Settlements: Victims and employees pressured into non-disclosure agreements, suppressing testimony for years.
Private Investigators: Epstein employed PIs who allegedly surveilled and gathered information on potential witnesses to intimidate them. Victims reported feeling watched.
Legal Arsenal: Defense team included Alan Dershowitz, Ken Starr, Roy Black, Martin Weinberg — firepower that overwhelmed underfunded prosecutors.
MCC Failures (2019): Both cameras in Epstein's wing malfunctioned; suicide watch prematurely lifted; guards falsified logs (pled guilty); cellmate transferred; checks skipped while guards slept. No official explanation satisfies public scrutiny.
PR Operation: Russian venture capitalist Maria Drokova was paid by Epstein to rehabilitate his reputation from 2017–2018, setting up carefully selected journalist meetings and coordinating favorable commentary in publications including The Huffington Post.
SDFL U.S. Attorney Acosta → Epstein Legal Team // June 2008 // Ruled unlawful 2019
The document that defined the controversy. Signed secretly, it granted Epstein a state-level plea to two minor charges, work-release jail, and immunity for himself and unnamed co-conspirators from federal prosecution. Victims never informed — violating the CVRA. A case that could have carried a life sentence was reduced to 13 months served.
Palm Beach Police Department Investigation Files (2005–2007)
PBPD Chief Michael Reiter // Case file publicly released
Foundational investigation documenting 36 victims and a systematic multi-year abuse operation at Epstein's Palm Beach estate. Chief Reiter later gave media interviews expressing deep frustration at how federal authorities handled the case. His files provided essential evidence for subsequent prosecutions and civil suits.
FBI/FAA Flight Logs — "Lolita Express" Passenger Records
FAA Records // Entered into evidence in civil proceedings
Aviation records for Epstein's Boeing 727 documenting passengers including Clinton (~26 flights), Trump (at least 1, confirmed in Sjoberg deposition), Kevin Spacey, Chris Tucker, Naomi Campbell, and unidentified female passengers including documented minors. Became central evidence in civil lawsuits and congressional inquiries.
Giuffre v. Maxwell — Civil Lawsuit Documents (2015–2024)
SDNY // Filed 2015 // 950+ pages unsealed Jan–Feb 2024 per Judge Loretta Preska's order
Virginia Giuffre's 2015 civil suit against Maxwell generated an enormous record. Over 950 pages released in January 2024 naming ~150 individuals. Contains depositions from Maxwell (denying all knowledge), Giuffre, Johanna Sjoberg, and others. Notable: Epstein email to Maxwell about paying off Giuffre's contacts; Sjoberg deposition; Giuffre allegations against named individuals. Most individuals mentioned not accused of wrongdoing.
SDNY Federal Indictment — Sex Trafficking
Southern District of New York // July 8, 2019
Two counts: sex trafficking of minors and sex trafficking conspiracy. Alleged abuse of "dozens" of girls as young as 14 at Manhattan and Palm Beach properties from at least 2002–2005. Maximum 45-year sentence. Accompanying search warrant yielded hundreds of photos. Epstein died before trial.
Miami Herald — "Perversion of Justice" Investigation
Reporter Julie K. Brown // Published November 2018
The three-part investigative series that reignited national attention. Brown identified and interviewed dozens of victims — many speaking publicly for the first time. Exposed the NPA's mechanics, Acosta's decisions, and the FBI's abandoned federal case. Directly triggered the SDNY prosecution and Acosta's resignation. One of the most consequential pieces of investigative journalism in the case.
DOJ Inspector General Report — Epstein Plea Deal
Department of Justice Office of Inspector General // 2020
Internal DOJ investigation into the 2008 plea deal found significant failures: how the NPA was negotiated, how victims were treated, and how the deal was structured. Criticized prosecutors and the FBI. Stopped short of recommending criminal charges against individuals involved.
Maxwell Trial — Court Record (2021)
SDNY // Trial November–December 2021 // Conviction on 5 counts
The Maxwell trial generated extensive documentary evidence and victim testimony detailing the mechanics of Epstein's abuse network, Maxwell's grooming and recruitment role, and specific incidents at Epstein's properties. Four victims testified under pseudonyms. Confirmed systematic abuse and Maxwell's active facilitation. Maxwell sentenced to 20 years.
JPMorgan Suspicious Activity Reports (SARs)
JPMorgan Chase // Filed post-Epstein death // Revealed in civil litigation 2022–2023
After Epstein's death, JPMorgan filed SARs for transactions conducted by Dershowitz, Glenn Dubin, Leon Black, and Les Wexner totaling approximately $1 billion. JPMorgan later settled suits for $290M (USVI) and additional victim settlements over its decade-long banking relationship with Epstein, which continued years after his 2008 conviction despite internal red flags.
DOJ "No Client List" Memo & January 2026 Mass Release
U.S. Department of Justice // July 2025 memo / Jan 2026 document release
Following the Epstein Files Transparency Act (signed by Trump Nov 2025), the DOJ released approximately 3 million pages in January 2026 — including ~180,000 images and ~2,000 videos. A July 2025 DOJ memo had concluded no "client list" exists in the Epstein files and that no credible evidence supported claims of systematic blackmail of prominent figures. Critics from both parties called the releases heavily redacted and anticlimactic. The DOJ declared this the final release, claiming legal obligations met.
This section documents the exact recorded statements made by key figures — particularly the evolution of Trump's public position on Epstein across more than two decades. All quotes are sourced from verified journalism or official records.

2003 — EPSTEIN'S 50TH BIRTHDAY ALBUM (ALLEGED)
The Birthday Letter
Per the Wall Street Journal (July 2025), Trump sent Epstein a birthday letter collected by Maxwell in a leather-bound album. The letter allegedly featured a hand-drawn naked woman outline and the text:
"We have certain things in common, Jeffrey." / "Yes, we do, come to think of it." / "A pal is a wonderful thing." / Closing: "Happy Birthday — and may every day be another wonderful secret."
Trump's denial (July 2025): "This is not me. This is a fake thing. It's a fake Wall Street Journal story. I never wrote a picture in my life. I don't draw pictures of women. It's not my language. It's not my words." Trump sued the WSJ seeking $10B+ in damages. Dow Jones stands by its reporting.

JULY 2006 — CALL TO PALM BEACH POLICE CHIEF
The Cooperative Witness — "Got the Hell Out of There"
Per FBI 302 summary of interview with Police Chief Michael Reiter (released February 2026), Trump called Reiter after the Epstein investigation became public:
"Trump told [Reiter] that he was around Epstein once when teenagers were present and Trump got the hell out of there." / "Trump told him people in New York knew Epstein was disgusting." / Trump called Maxwell Epstein's "operative" and "evil" and suggested Reiter investigate her. / "Trump was one of the very first people to call when people found out that they were investigating Epstein."
⚠ This directly contradicts Trump's July 2019 statement that he had "no idea" Epstein was molesting underage girls.

JULY 2019 — EPSTEIN ARREST: THE REVERSAL
"I Was Not a Fan" / "No Idea"
"Well, I knew him like everybody in Palm Beach knew him. I mean, people in Palm Beach knew him. He was a fixture in Palm Beach. I had a falling out with him a long time ago. I don't think I've spoken to him for 15 years. I wasn't a fan. I was not, yeah, a long time ago, I'd say maybe 15 years. I was not a fan of his, that I can tell you. I was not a fan of his."
Reporter: "Did you have any suspicions that he was molesting underaged women?" Trump: "No, I had no idea."
[South Lawn]: "Yes. And I did have a falling out a long time ago. The reason doesn't make any difference, frankly. But I haven't spoken to him in probably 15 years or more. I wasn't a big fan of Jeffrey Epstein, that I can tell you."
Reporter: "Why did you ban him from Mar-a-Lago?" / Trump: "The reason doesn't make any difference, frankly."
⚠ CONTRADICTION NOTE: In 2002 Trump said he had known Epstein for 15 years. In 2019 he said he hadn't spoken to him for 15 years — implying the friendship ran from roughly the late 1980s to approximately 2004. The 2006 FBI 302 summary shows Trump actively calling police and describing Epstein as "disgusting" — yet he told reporters in 2019 he had "no idea" about the abuse.

Within hours of Epstein's death being reported, Trump retweeted a post suggesting (without evidence) that former President Bill Clinton was somehow responsible. The retweet amplified baseless conspiracy theories. Trump later claimed he did not know much about Epstein. He simultaneously was fanning speculation about Clinton's role.

Swan: "So you're saying you hope she doesn't die in jail?" Trump: "Her boyfriend died in jail … And I do wish her well. I'm not looking for anything bad for her."
Maxwell had at this point been charged with sex trafficking of minors. The "wish her well" statement became one of the most controversial quotes of Trump's presidency.

Fox News: "Would you declassify the Epstein files?" Trump: "Yeah, yeah, I would." [Unedited]: "I don't know about Epstein so much … certainly about the way he died. It'd be interesting to find out what happened there, because that was a weird situation and the cameras didn't happen to be working … But yeah, I'd go a long way toward that one."
[Lex Fridman podcast, Sept 2024]: "Very interesting … probably" release the client list. "I have no problem" with releasing additional files.
CONFIRMED — Fox News (June 2024), Lex Fridman (Sept 2024)
JULY 2025 — "THIS CREEP" / "IT'S BORING"
The Dismissal
[Cabinet meeting]: "Are you still talking about Jeffrey Epstein? This guy's been talked about for years … are people still talking about this guy, this creep? That is unbelievable."
"He's dead for a long time. He was never a big factor in terms of life … I don't understand why the Jeffrey Epstein case would be of interest to anybody. It's pretty boring stuff. It's sordid, but it's boring. I don't understand why it keeps going. I think only really pretty bad people, including fake news, want to keep something like that going."
[Truth Social]: "Nobody cared about Jeffrey Epstein when he was alive." / "We have a PERFECT Administration … and 'selfish people' are trying to hurt it, all over a guy who never dies, Jeffrey Epstein."
Trump called his own MAGA supporters pushing for more files "stupid," "foolish," and "past supporters." He blamed Obama, Biden, and Comey — without evidence — for fabricating documents.
⚠ CONTRADICTION NOTE: In 2024 Trump promised to release the files and called it "very interesting." In 2025, after his DOJ declined to release more, he called the interest "boring," said "nobody cares," and labeled it a "Democratic hoax."

MARK EPSTEIN (JEFFREY'S BROTHER) — JULY 2025
[Responding to Trump's claim he "was not a fan"]: Emphasized the closeness of the Trump-Epstein friendship, saying Trump's assertions were false. Refuted the White House claim that "The President was never in Epstein's office," in relation to an accuser who described a "disturbing" encounter with Trump in Jeffrey's office in 1995. Stated he did not know about his brother's crimes until 2006.
Note: Michael Wolff also claimed in a July 2025 Instagram video that Epstein said in a tape he "stopped hanging out with Donald Trump when he realized Trump was a crook" — referring to alleged money laundering in the Maison de l'Amitié property deal. These claims are unverified.
ALLEGED — Mark Epstein's public statements; Wolff's claims unverified

1. The Documented Relationship
WHAT WE KNOW HAPPENED BETWEEN TRUMP AND EPSTEIN
LATE 1980s — SOCIAL INTRODUCTION
Trump and Epstein meet and begin socializing in overlapping New York and Palm Beach elite circles. Both own large Palm Beach properties near each other. Multiple contemporaneous witnesses and social records confirm their friendship. Trump purchased Mar-a-Lago in 1985; Epstein was a fixture in the same world.
CONFIRMED — multiple witnesses, contemporaneous records
1992 — VICTORIA'S SECRET "ANGELS" PARTY
Trump is photographed with Epstein at a Victoria's Secret party. Epstein was also photographed with Trump at Mar-a-Lago that year. Les Wexner, who owned Victoria's Secret and was Epstein's main financial client, was in the same social circle — a connection that brought multiple powerful men together regularly.
CONFIRMED — photos, contemporaneous records
1993–1997 — FLIGHT LOGS: TRUMP ON EPSTEIN'S JET
FAA records entered into evidence show Trump flew on Epstein's Boeing 727 at least six times: multiple flights in 1993, once in 1994, once in 1995, and once in 1997 (per various log records). A 1997 photo shows Trump and Epstein together at Mar-a-Lago. In Johanna Sjoberg's 2016 deposition (unsealed 2024), she recounted being on the jet and Epstein saying "we'll call up Trump" during an unplanned landing in Atlantic City. Sjoberg confirmed she did not give Trump a massage on the flight.
Donald Trump, then-girlfriend Melania Knauss (future First Lady), Jeffrey Epstein, and Ghislaine Maxwell are photographed together at Mar-a-Lago. This became one of the most widely distributed images of the scandal — showing four people smiling together at Trump's own club: a future president, a future first lady, a convicted sex trafficker, and his convicted sex-trafficking co-conspirator.

2000 — VIRGINIA GIUFFRE RECRUITED AT MAR-A-LAGO
Virginia Giuffre (then Roberts), approximately 16 years old, was working as a locker-room attendant at Mar-a-Lago when she was approached by Ghislaine Maxwell. Giuffre wrote in her memoir that Trump "couldn't have been friendlier" when she worked there, and that he asked her: "Do you like kids?" — describing him as personable but not threatening or inappropriate. Maxwell recruited Giuffre into Epstein's trafficking network from Trump's club. Trump later confirmed: "He stole her" when asked if Giuffre was one of the women Epstein poached from his spa. No allegation of wrongdoing by Trump is made by Giuffre herself in this context.
CONFIRMED — Giuffre's memoir, Trump's own Air Force One statement (July 2025)
2002 — "TERRIFIC GUY" — 15-YEAR FRIENDSHIP CONFIRMED BY TRUMP
In the New York magazine profile, Trump states: "I've known Jeff for fifteen years." This confirms the friendship ran from at least the late 1980s. He calls Epstein a "terrific guy" who "likes beautiful women… many of them on the younger side." The quote is confirmed by virtually every major news organization as accurate.
CONFIRMED — New York magazine, 2002
2003 — ALLEGED BIRTHDAY LETTER WITH NUDE DRAWING
The Wall Street Journal reported (July 2025) that Trump sent a "bawdy" birthday letter to Epstein's 50th birthday album assembled by Maxwell. The letter reportedly bears Trump's signature and contains an alleged hand-drawn outline of a naked woman. The text allegedly includes: "We have certain things in common, Jeffrey." / "A pal is a wonderful thing." / "Happy Birthday — and may every day be another wonderful secret." The album also contained letters from Dershowitz and Wexner. Trump categorically denies writing or drawing the letter and filed a $20 billion defamation suit against the Wall Street Journal. A federal judge dismissed the suit without prejudice in April 2026. Dow Jones stands by the reporting.
Trump and Epstein competed to purchase a Palm Beach mansion, Maison de l'Amitié. Trump won at auction. Author Michael Wolff, who interviewed Epstein on tape, claims Epstein believed the deal involved money laundering and that Trump was "fronting" for the real owners — and that both men held damaging knowledge of each other. Epstein reportedly believed Trump tipped off police about him. Wolff's claims are disputed and come from Epstein's own unverified statements.
ALLEGED — Wolff's account of Epstein tapes, unverified
JULY 2006 — TRUMP COOPERATES WITH PALM BEACH POLICE
Per FBI 302 summary of Police Chief Michael Reiter's account (released Feb 2026): Trump called Reiter after the investigation became public and thanked him for "stopping [Epstein]," saying "everyone has known he's been doing this." Trump told Reiter: he "was around Epstein once when teenagers were present and Trump got the hell out of there." He said "people in New York knew Epstein was disgusting." He called Maxwell Epstein's "operative" and "evil" and suggested she be investigated. Trump was "one of the very first people to call." This contradicts his 2019 statement of "no idea."
CONFIRMED — FBI 302 summary, CNBC Feb 2026
2007 — EPSTEIN ALLEGEDLY BANNED FROM MAR-A-LAGO
Per The Grifter's Club (2020, investigative reporter Sarah Blaskey), Epstein was banned from Mar-a-Lago after allegedly making sexual advances toward a teenage daughter of another club member in 2007. Trump has given multiple, evolving explanations: (1) Epstein was "a creep to female employees"; (2) he "stole people who worked for me"; (3) "people were taken out of the spa." Trump said on Air Force One the employees were "young women" and confirmed when pressed that Giuffre was one of them. A document allegedly reviewed by Rep. Jamie Raskin (unredacted) shows Trump stating he had "never asked [Epstein] to leave" — contradicting the ban narrative. The White House claims the redaction protects victim identities.

2. What Epstein Said About Trump — In His Own Words
PRIVATE EMAILS & RECORDED STATEMENTS — RELEASED BY HOUSE OVERSIGHT COMMITTEE, NOV 2025
APRIL 2, 2011 — EMAIL TO GHISLAINE MAXWELL
Epstein: "i want you to realize that that dog that hasn't barked is trump.. [REDACTED] spent hours at my house with him ,, he has never once been mentioned. police chief. etc. im 75 % there." Maxwell replied: "I have been thinking about that…"
Context: Written weeks after British newspapers published stories about Epstein and Prince Andrew. Epstein was in "legal attack mode." The redacted victim was identified by Republicans on the committee as Virginia Giuffre — who never accused Trump of wrongdoing. The phrase "dog that hasn't barked" (from Sherlock Holmes) means a significant absence of an expected event. Epstein and Maxwell appear to be noting that Trump's name had not come up despite a victim spending hours at Epstein's house with him. The question raised: why did they expect his name might come up?

JANUARY 31, 2019 — EMAIL TO MICHAEL WOLFF
Epstein: "Trump said he asked me to resign, never a member ever. Of course he knew about the girls as he asked ghislaine to stop."
Context: Epstein references Trump asking Maxwell to stop recruiting at Mar-a-Lago — which aligns with Trump's own later account. But Epstein adds "of course he knew about the girls" — appearing to suggest Trump was aware of what was happening. CNN analysis: this doesn't prove Trump knew what Maxwell was recruiting girls for, but it suggests Trump knew Maxwell was recruiting young women from his club. White House: "proves absolutely nothing."

DECEMBER 15, 2015 — EMAIL TO MICHAEL WOLFF (STRATEGY EMAIL)
Wolff to Epstein: "I think you should let him hang himself. If he says he hasn't been on the plane or to the house, then that gives you a valuable PR and political currency. You can hang him in a way that potentially generates a positive benefit for you, or, if it really looks like he could win, you could save him, generating a debt."
Context: CNN was reportedly planning to ask Trump about his Epstein ties during the 5th Republican primary debate. Wolff and Epstein are strategizing about how to use Trump's relationship with Epstein as leverage — either to harm him or to create a political "debt." This email suggests Epstein believed he had damaging information about Trump that he could deploy or withhold strategically.

FEBRUARY 2017 — EMAIL TO LARRY SUMMERS
Epstein to Summers: "i have met some very bad people ,, none as bad as trump. not one decent cell in his body.. so yes – dangerous."
By 2017 Epstein's view of Trump had completely reversed. He went on in other emails to describe Trump as "f***ing crazy," suggest he had "early dementia," call him "a maniac," reply "duh" when someone called him "truly stupid," and write: "i know how dirty Donald is." Note: these are Epstein's private opinions — not evidence of criminal conduct by Trump.

EPSTEIN AUDIO TAPES — MICHAEL WOLFF RECORDINGS
The Daily Beast reported obtaining recordings in which Epstein spoke at length to author Michael Wolff about Trump, claiming the two were close friends and making various allegations. Epstein on tape: "He's a horrible human being. He does nasty things to his best friends, best friends' wives, anyone who he first tries to gain their trust and…" Epstein also allegedly boasted that Trump bragged about sexual encounters. Trump's camp called the recordings "false smears." The full tapes have not been publicly released.

3. Direct Allegations Against Trump Connected to Epstein
⚠ ALLEGATIONS ONLY — NONE PROVEN IN COURT — ALL DENIED BY TRUMP
These are legal claims and testimonial accounts. Their dismissal or withdrawal does not automatically mean the underlying events did not occur; nor does the filing mean they did. Present the facts, judge for yourself.
1994 — "KATIE JOHNSON" / JANE DOE — RAPE ALLEGATION AT EPSTEIN TOWNHOUSE
In April 2016, an anonymous woman using the name "Katie Johnson" filed a lawsuit in California alleging Trump and Epstein forcibly raped her in 1994 when she was 13 years old, at underage sex parties at Epstein's Manhattan residence. The case was dismissed by a federal judge in May 2016 for failing to state a proper federal claim.
A second version was filed in New York in June 2016 as "Jane Doe," alleging rape and sexual assault at four 1994 parties. A witness, "Tiffany Doe," provided an affidavit corroborating the account. The suit was refiled in September 2016 with an additional declaration. A press conference scheduled for November 2, 2016 was abruptly canceled; attorney Lisa Bloom cited death threats against her client. The suit was dropped on November 4, 2016 — four days before the presidential election.
Her attorney Thomas Meagher later told journalist Tara Palmeri he spent days interrogating her claims, sent private investigators to verify her story, and "still insists she told the truth." Michael Cohen confirmed to Palmeri that he worked on "one case" for Trump matching this timeline — but Cohen later said he doesn't believe Trump was on Epstein's island.
Snopes investigation found the case was promoted by a publicist using the fake name "Al Taylor," later identified as former Jerry Springer producer Norm Lubow — who confirmed his involvement. This does not disprove the plaintiff's account but raised credibility questions. The plaintiff has never been publicly identified and has made no further public statements.
Trump's denial: Called allegations "categorically untrue," "completely frivolous," "baseless," and "irresponsible." His lawyers dismissed the suits. No criminal proceedings were ever initiated.
ALLEGED — lawsuit dismissed/withdrawn; never adjudicated on meritsDISMISSED — procedural grounds, not on merits
1994 — ALLEGED "DISTURBING ENCOUNTER" IN EPSTEIN'S OFFICE
In July 2025, Epstein's brother Mark Epstein specifically refuted the White House's claim that "The President was never in Epstein's office" — in relation to a victim who described a "disturbing" encounter with Trump in Jeffrey's office in 1995. The specific nature of the alleged encounter was not detailed in public reporting. No lawsuit was filed. No victim has been publicly identified making this specific claim.
ALLEGED — Mark Epstein's statement, July 2025; no supporting lawsuit
UNDATED — DOJ "NTOC NAMES" REPORT ALLEGATION
According to the Wikipedia account of the Epstein files, one alleged victim in the DOJ's "NTOC Names" email report claimed that at age 16, while working as a model, herself and other young girls and older Victoria's Secret models were involved in "big orgy parties" with Trump and Bill Clinton at Epstein's New York residence. The victim also claimed Epstein sexually assaulted her. The specific document and its verification status is unclear from public reporting. No criminal charges resulted from this account.
2020 — COMPLAINT ALLEGING RAPE AT MAR-A-LAGO AT AGE 13
A 2020 complaint (per Wikipedia's Epstein files article) alleged Trump raped the complainant at age 13 at Mar-a-Lago at one of Epstein's parties, making further graphic allegations of abuse. This complaint has not been verified by mainstream news organizations as part of any formal federal case and was not associated with the Katie Johnson suits. Its legal status and current standing is unclear from public reporting.
ALLEGED — 2020 complaint; not verified by major news organizations as formal case

DOCUMENTED FACTS THAT GIVE CONTEXT TO THE RELATIONSHIP
GIUFFRE NEVER ACCUSED TRUMP — BUT RECRUITED FROM HIS CLUB
Virginia Giuffre, Epstein's most prominent victim and accuser, never accused Trump of wrongdoing. In her memoir she describes him as personable. However, she was recruited into Epstein's trafficking network directly from Trump's own club, Mar-a-Lago, at age 16. Trump confirmed in 2025 that Giuffre was among the women "stolen" by Epstein from his spa. Epstein's 2011 email suggests Giuffre "spent hours" at his house with Trump. Giuffre died by apparent suicide in April 2025.
CONFIRMED — Giuffre memoir; Trump Air Force One statement; Epstein 2011 email
TRUMP'S NAME APPEARS 1,000+ TIMES IN RELEASED FILES
Per reporting on the January 2026 document release, Trump's name appears more than 1,000 times across the released Epstein files. The DOJ and Trump's team emphasize this reflects the breadth of a long social relationship, not evidence of criminal conduct. Critics note that the files remain heavily redacted and the DOJ has declined to release the full record.
CONFIRMED — DOJ release, Jan 2026
THE "NEVER ASKED HIM TO LEAVE" DOCUMENT
Rep. Jamie Raskin claimed after reviewing unredacted Epstein documents that he found a document in which Trump stated he had "never asked [Epstein] to leave" Mar-a-Lago — directly contradicting Trump's repeated claim that he banned Epstein. In the publicly released documents, this information was redacted. The White House said redactions protected "personally identifiable information" for Epstein's victims. Raskin's account has not been independently confirmed by other committee members reviewing the unredacted files.
ALLEGED — Raskin's account; redacted in public release; White House disputes interpretation
TRUMP ADMINISTRATION CONTROLS THE FILE RELEASE
A politically significant structural fact: Trump's own Justice Department controls what Epstein files are released. The DOJ in 2025 declared it would release no more files and found no client list. Trump's AG Pam Bondi, after months of promising full release, pivoted to saying nothing significant remained. The DOJ declined to release grand jury materials even after Bondi said she would seek court permission. Critics from both parties — including many Trump supporters — have accused the administration of selectively protecting certain individuals through the redaction and release process.
THE 2006 CONTRADICTION — "NO IDEA" vs "GOT THE HELL OUT"
This is the single most documented internal contradiction in Trump's account:
2006 (FBI 302): Trump called police chief, said he "got the hell out of there" when he saw teenagers at Epstein's, said "everyone has known he's been doing this," called Maxwell "evil."
2019 (Oval Office): When asked if he had "any suspicions that [Epstein] was molesting underaged women" — Trump replied: "No, I had no idea."
To date, no criminal investigation has been publicly opened against Trump in connection with Epstein's crimes. No victim has brought a successful civil suit against Trump related to Epstein. The Katie Johnson lawsuits were dismissed on procedural grounds and withdrawn. The FBI conducted investigations into Epstein's network but Trump has never been named as a target or subject of those investigations in any publicly confirmed manner. Virginia Giuffre — Epstein's most prominent and legally active accuser — never accused Trump of wrongdoing.
CONFIRMED — no criminal proceedings
★ WHAT THE EVIDENCE SHOWS — WHAT IT DOES NOT SHOW
What is confirmed: A ~15-year documented social friendship. Multiple flights on Epstein's jet. Regular socializing at each other's properties. Virginia Giuffre recruited from Trump's own club. Trump's contradictory statements about when he knew what. Epstein's private emails suggesting he believed he held damaging information on Trump. Trump's 2006 statement to police describing Epstein as "disgusting" while saying "no idea" in 2019. Trump's administration controlling and limiting the document release.
What is alleged but not proven: The Katie Johnson rape lawsuit (dismissed/withdrawn). The birthday letter (denied by Trump). The "never asked him to leave" document (disputed). Various DOJ complaint references. Epstein's claim he could "take Trump down."
What has not been established: That Trump committed any crime in connection with Epstein. That Trump visited Epstein's island or participated in abuse. That any victim's account of Trump wrongdoing has been tested in court.
The gap between what is confirmed and what is alleged is significant. So is the gap between the depth of the confirmed friendship and Trump's later claim he was "not a fan." Readers can assess both.
✦ IMPORTANT NOTE: The question of whether Epstein worked for any intelligence service remains ALLEGED and officially unconfirmed. Real documented connections to Israel are presented separately from unverified conspiracy claims. The FBI memo most cited as evidence comes from a source later identified as a convicted fraudster. However, the documented Israeli connections — Barak, Carbyne, Robert Maxwell, Wexner's Israel ties — are real and warrant scrutiny. This section presents what is documented, what is alleged, and what has been officially denied.
1. Robert Maxwell — The Mossad Connection That Predates Epstein
GHISLAINE'S FATHER — DOCUMENTED MOSSAD ASSET
BACKGROUND — ROBERT MAXWELL (1923–1991)
Robert Maxwell — born Ján Hoch in Czechoslovakia, father of Ghislaine — was a British media mogul and Member of Parliament who multiple intelligence sources and investigations have identified as a longstanding Mossad asset. In 1948, Maxwell played a critical role as an arms broker, convincing Czechoslovakia to supply weapons to Zionist militant groups during the Arab-Israeli War — an act that may have given Israel air superiority. He maintained deep ties to Israeli intelligence and politicians throughout his life.
At his death in 1991 (found floating beside his yacht near the Canary Islands, ruled accidental), Maxwell's funeral in Jerusalem was attended by at least six serving and former heads of Israeli intelligence, former Prime Minister Yitzhak Shamir, former President Chaim Herzog, and Shimon Peres — who delivered the eulogy. The scale of the Israeli state's tribute strongly suggested a relationship beyond normal business ties.
UK Foreign Office papers released in 2003 described Maxwell as a Soviet agent despite his Western connections — illustrating how intelligence figures often serve multiple masters simultaneously.
Before the Pegasus spyware scandal, Robert Maxwell was alleged to have distributed a compromised, backdoored version of PROMIS software — originally developed for the U.S. Department of Justice — to governments worldwide, reportedly intended for then-Mossad head Rafi Eitan. The bugged software allegedly allowed Israel (and potentially others) to monitor foreign government databases. U.S. government documents from the late 1990s noted that Israeli intelligence had successfully penetrated PROMIS databases in unidentified U.S. government agencies. Maxwell used business-linked entities as "Trojan horses" to distribute the software — a playbook eerily similar to how Epstein's circle used charity, modeling, and philanthropy as cover operations.
ALLEGED — reported by investigative journalists; official confirmation partial
EPSTEIN ON ROBERT MAXWELL'S DEATH — 2018 EMAIL
In a March 2018 email (released 2025/2026), Epstein wrote to an unknown recipient quoting extensively from a book alleging Robert Maxwell was murdered by Mossad. Epstein stated Maxwell had threatened Israeli intelligence: "unless they [the Mossad] gave him £400 million to save his [Maxwell's] crumbling empire, he would expose all he had done for them." Epstein also alleged Maxwell had acted as an informal operative gathering information on the U.S., UK, and Soviet Union. If accurate, this suggests Epstein himself believed Maxwell was a Mossad operative who was killed to prevent exposure.
Separately, a 2018 email with the subject line "he was passed away" showed Epstein privately speculating about Maxwell's death in the context of Mossad involvement.

EPSTEIN MET GHISLAINE THROUGH ROBERT MAXWELL — EARLY 1980s
Former Israeli intelligence officer Ari Ben-Menashe claims to have seen Epstein in Robert Maxwell's office multiple times in the 1980s. Steven Hoffenberg, who worked with Epstein on financial fraud in the 1990s, stated in 2020 that Epstein and Ghislaine Maxwell met as early as 1988 through her father. If true, Epstein's entry into the world of elite blackmail-adjacent intelligence operations may have predated his financial career by decades — routed through the Maxwell family's existing Israeli intelligence infrastructure.

2. Ehud Barak — 60+ Meetings, Carbyne, and the "Sex Trafficking" Allegation
FORMER ISRAELI PRIME MINISTER & DEFENSE MINISTER
2003 — INTRODUCTION VIA SHIMON PERES
Barak was introduced to Epstein by former Israeli President Shimon Peres at a large Washington event in 2003. This was not a chance encounter — it was a deliberate introduction by a head of state. Barak confirms the meeting and the Peres introduction. Between 2004 and 2006, the Wexner Foundation paid Barak approximately $2.3 million for two commissioned research studies (one on leadership, one on the Israeli-Palestinian conflict). The foundation later confirmed only one paper was completed but said the payment was justified.
CONFIRMED — Barak's own statements; WSJ reporting; Wexner Foundation records
2013–2019 — 60+ DOCUMENTED MEETINGS
The released files show Barak met Epstein over 60 times between September 2010 and March 2019 — including during periods when Barak was serving as Israel's Minister of Defense. In 2023, reporting confirmed Barak visited Epstein approximately monthly for nearly a year beginning December 2015. In 2017, Barak was photographed leaving Epstein's Manhattan apartment complex with his face covered to avoid surveillance cameras.
In January 2014, Barak visited Little St. James island. Leaked emails show Barak arranged for "security guys will not come with us to the island." His wife Nili Priel did accompany him.
A court filing in the newly released records contains a claim that Virginia Giuffre alleged both Wexner and Barak were men Epstein trafficked her to. Barak denies all allegations of misconduct. No criminal charges have been filed against him.
CONFIRMED — 60+ meetings documented in files; island visit; face-covered photoALLEGED — Giuffre trafficking allegation; Barak denies
Emails reveal Barak and Epstein discussed arranging a meeting with Vladimir Putin to facilitate removal of Syrian President Bashar al-Assad during the Syrian civil war. The effort failed. They also explored using former MI6 and Mossad agents to recover frozen Libyan assets. These backchannel geopolitical activities — between a convicted sex offender and a former Israeli PM — remain largely unexplained publicly.
CONFIRMED — documented in released emails
2015 — CARBYNE: THE INTELLIGENCE-LINKED TECH STARTUP
In 2015, Epstein invested in Reporty Homeland Security, later rebranded as Carbyne — an emergency response and geolocation tech startup chaired by Ehud Barak. A large portion of Barak's own investment in Carbyne was supplied by Epstein. Carbyne was developed with significant involvement from veterans of Israeli Unit 8200 (Israel's elite signals intelligence unit, equivalent to the NSA) and had ties to Israeli security sectors.
Critics noted that Carbyne's technology — which allows accessing phone camera, microphone, and location data during emergency calls — would represent an extraordinary surveillance capability in the hands of intelligence-linked operators. Epstein also pitched Carbyne to Peter Thiel's Valar Ventures (rejected as premature).
In a 2013 recording, Epstein nudged Barak to work with Thiel's Palantir surveillance technology — suggesting a pattern of connecting Israeli intelligence-linked figures to U.S. surveillance tech ecosystems.

Epstein's email correspondence documents extensive contact with Yoni Koren, a senior aide to Barak and former Israeli military intelligence officer. Koren made regular extended stays at Epstein's New York residence. In 2012, Epstein appears to have paid for Koren's cancer treatment. The presence of a serving Israeli military intelligence figure as a near-resident at Epstein's home is one of the most concrete documented Israel–Epstein connections.
CONFIRMED — documented in released Epstein email correspondence (Al Jazeera, Feb 2026)
EPSTEIN'S SELF-AWARE JOKE — DECEMBER 2018
In a December 2018 email exchange, Epstein wrote to Barak: "You should make clear that I don't work for Mossad :)"
Some analysts interpret this as a knowing joke — the kind only made by someone with a genuine connection to what they're joking about. Others see it as Epstein deflecting. Either way, both men apparently found the subject amusing enough to joke about it privately.

3. The Intelligence Asset Theory — What's Real, What's Not
SEPARATING DOCUMENTED FACTS FROM UNVERIFIED CLAIMS
THE FBI MEMO — MOST CITED "EVIDENCE" (HIGHLY PROBLEMATIC SOURCE)
The most-cited document in the Mossad-Epstein theory is a 2020 FBI memo from the Bureau's Los Angeles field office, in which a confidential human source (CHS) stated they had "become convinced" Epstein was a "co-opted Mossad agent," had been "trained as a spy" under Barak, and that Dershowitz debriefed with Mossad after calls with Epstein.
The memo: "After these calls, Mossad would then call Dershowitz to debrief. Epstein was close to the former Prime Minister of Israel, Ehud Barak, and trained as a spy under him."
⚠ CRITICAL CAVEAT: The confidential source for this FBI memo has since been identified as Charles C. Johnson — a convicted fraudster and Holocaust denier who raised over $150,000 for neo-Nazi Andrew Anglin. The source's credibility is severely compromised. The memo records what the source told the FBI — it does not represent the FBI's own conclusion. This is the most-cited document in Mossad conspiracy theories, and its sourcing is deeply problematic.
ALLEGED — from discredited source; FBI memo does not reflect FBI conclusion
ARI BEN-MENASHE — FORMER ISRAELI INTELLIGENCE OFFICER'S CLAIMS
Former Israeli military intelligence officer Ari Ben-Menashe has claimed in interviews and books that Epstein and Ghislaine Maxwell operated as Mossad assets since the 1980s, running honeytrap operations to blackmail global elites. Ben-Menashe claims he met both Epstein and Ghislaine Maxwell in Robert Maxwell's office in the 1980s while working on arms deals. He alleges their blackmail operations were reminiscent of those run by Robert Maxwell. Ben-Menashe is a controversial figure whose claims are disputed by Western governments. Israel denies his account.
ALLEGED — Ben-Menashe's account; Israeli government denies
ACOSTA'S "BELONGED TO INTELLIGENCE" — CIA, NOT MOSSAD?
Reports from 2019 claimed Acosta told Trump transition officials Epstein "belonged to intelligence" with a leave-it-alone status. The TRT World investigation quotes Acosta as saying he was told Epstein "belonged to intelligence — apparently the CIA." The FBI memo's source, however, claims Mossad via Barak/Dershowitz. Christopher Steele (former MI6) has suggested Russian organized crime recruitment is "quite likely." Poland has launched an investigation into Epstein's Russia links. The intelligence tie theory points in multiple directions simultaneously — suggesting either Epstein served multiple agencies, or the theories are exaggerated.
THE BLACKMAIL / KOMPROMAT THEORY — SURVEILLANCE CAMERAS
Multiple former Epstein employees, victims, and their lawyers have confirmed that Epstein had 24-hour security cameras installed in every room of his residences. The 2019 SDNY search found a "vast trove" of photos and videos. The DOJ January 2026 release included 2,000 videos and 180,000 images — many redacted.
The theory: Epstein's network was a deliberate kompromat (blackmail intelligence) operation — recording powerful elites in compromising acts with underage girls, then using that material for leverage. This would explain: his mysterious wealth with no clear business model; his extraordinary access; his ability to evade prosecution for so long; the sweetheart 2008 NPA protecting unnamed co-conspirators; and his comment to Maxwell "I am the one able to take him down" regarding Trump.
The DOJ's July 2025 memo concluded "no credible evidence supported claims Epstein had blackmailed prominent individuals." Critics note this conclusion was reached by the administration of a man Epstein privately claimed he could "take down."
Benjamin Netanyahu (2026): "Jeffrey Epstein's unusually close relationship with Ehud Barak doesn't suggest Epstein worked for Israel. It proves the opposite." (Widely noted as a politically convenient statement that also attacks his political rival Barak.)
Naftali Bennett (July 2025): "The accusation that Jeffrey Epstein somehow worked for Israel or the Mossad running a blackmail ring is categorically and totally false."
Ehud Barak: Has publicly expressed regret over the friendship and called it a mistake, denying any knowledge of Epstein's crimes or any intelligence dimension.
Alan Dershowitz: "Epstein laughed off spy allegations, claiming he'd have leveraged such ties for a better plea deal."
CONFIRMED — official statements made
4. The Wexner / Mega Group — Pro-Israel Finance Networks
THE FINANCIAL ARCHITECTURE BEHIND EPSTEIN'S RISE
THE MEGA GROUP
Les Wexner — Epstein's primary financial client — was a co-founder (with Seagram's heir Charles Bronfman) of The Mega Group, a secretive organization of Jewish billionaires formed in 1991 focused on philanthropy and devotion to Israel. One member described its mission as "faith in and devotion to the state of Israel." Epstein managed Wexner's finances and had access to Wexner Foundation funds — funds that paid Ehud Barak $2.3 million. The question of whether Epstein used his Wexner access to serve Israeli interests — or his own — remains unresolved.
CONFIRMED — Mega Group's existence and membership; Wexner-Barak paymentsALLEGED — deliberate pro-Israel financial routing
EPSTEIN'S DIRECT DONATIONS TO ISRAELI CAUSES
Through his COUQ Foundation, Epstein donated $25,000 to the Friends of the Israeli Defense Forces (FIDF) and $15,000 to the Jewish National Fund (JNF) — an organization that builds infrastructure in illegal Israeli settlements in the occupied West Bank. He also funded Hillel (Israel-focused campus organization) and Birthright Israel. These are documented in the 2026 FBI file releases.
CONFIRMED — documented in FBI files released 2026
ISRAEL'S STATE SECURITY AT EPSTEIN-LINKED MANHATTAN BUILDING
In 2016, the Israeli government installed security equipment at a Manhattan building owned by Epstein's brother and managed by Epstein, for use by Israeli associates. Barak frequented this building for extended stays. The installation of Israeli state security infrastructure at an Epstein-adjacent property — while he remained a registered sex offender — is one of the more extraordinary documented facts in the intelligence dimension of the case.
CONFIRMED — documented in Epstein files (Wikipedia, Al Jazeera reporting, 2026)
5. Additional Named Figures from 2025–2026 Releases
NOAM CHOMSKY — Linguist / Intellectual
Chomsky met with Epstein several times, visited his Caribbean island in 2014, and exchanged hundreds of messages. Epstein offered him use of his residences. Chomsky hired Epstein as a financial advisor to recover retirement funds and resolve a family trust dispute. In March 2018, Epstein transferred approximately $270,000 to Chomsky. After Giuffre's public accusations in 2019, Chomsky told Epstein that commenting would cause negative attention. An undated photo shows Chomsky seated next to Epstein on a plane. Chomsky wrote a letter praising Epstein. In 2026, Chomsky's wife issued a public apology on behalf of them both.
CONFIRMED — documented in 2026 file release; $270K transfer; apology
DEEPAK CHOPRA — New Age Author / Speaker
Chopra met with Epstein at least a dozen times between 2016 and 2019, per the released files. The nature and purpose of their relationship is not detailed in public reporting beyond the meeting count.
CONFIRMED — documented in 2026 files
DR. MEHMET OZ — TV Physician / CMS Administrator
A 2026 DOJ release transaction report shows Epstein paid $1,592 for Dr. Oz's travel in 2004. Epstein was invited to a 2014 event where Oz was a guest speaker (Epstein said he was unavailable). In 2016, Oz sent Epstein an email (contents redacted). No allegations of wrongdoing against Oz in the Epstein context.
CONFIRMED — transaction report; 2026 DOJ release
SARAH FERGUSON, DUCHESS OF YORK
In a 2009 email, Ferguson called Epstein a "brother" and appeared to suggest she and her daughters had met him. She later publicly called the relationship a "gigantic error of judgment" in 2011, but then apologized to him by email. After the 2026 document release, the charity she founded in 2020 was closed.
CONFIRMED — emails in released files; charity closure
VITALY CHURKIN — Russian UN Ambassador (deceased)
A personalized schedule for August 2016 shows Epstein scheduled a dinner with Churkin, Ehud Barak, and Tom Barrack (Trump fundraiser). Epstein wrote to Churkin: "Ehud Barak and TOM Barrack at house tomorrow. You are always welcome." Churkin died in February 2017. His presence alongside an Israeli PM and a Trump fundraiser at Epstein's home is notable in the context of intelligence theories.
CONFIRMED — 2016 dinner schedule in released files
TOM BARRACK — Trump Confidante / Ambassador to Turkey
By the early 2000s Barrack and Epstein had business ties to the Middle East. Epstein attempted to arrange meetings between Barrack and Peter Thiel in 2016. Barrack appears in the dinner schedule with Churkin and Barak. In a 2017 email, Epstein asked Bill Gates to meet Barrack for "meaningful traction" on unspecified matters. Later appointed by Trump as Ambassador to the United Kingdom (then Turkey).
CONFIRMED — emails in released files
TONY BLAIR — Former UK Prime Minister
Blair's name appears in Epstein's black book (1,700+ contacts). Flight logs also document Blair on Epstein's jet. Epstein's 2006 black book listed Blair among politicians alongside Trump, Clinton, Barak, Kerry, and Andrew Cuomo. No allegations of wrongdoing have been made against Blair.
CONFIRMED — black book listing; flight logs
WILLIAM BURNS — CIA Director (Former Obama Deputy Secretary of State)
Epstein met with Burns three times in 2014 when Burns was U.S. Deputy Secretary of State. Burns later became CIA Director under Biden. No allegations of wrongdoing. The fact that Epstein was meeting with a senior U.S. State Department official as a registered sex offender is notable in the intelligence context.
CONFIRMED — documented in Epstein files (Electronic Intifada, 2025)
BRETT RATNER — Film Director
Undated photographs show Ratner with Epstein and Jean-Luc Brunel. Ratner has faced separate unrelated allegations of sexual misconduct from multiple women (2017). The January 2026 DOJ release included his name in this photographic context.
CONFIRMED — photos in released files

📹 This section documents all known video recordings, interviews, and media linked to the Epstein case — including the prison footage, the Bannon documentary tapes, the DOJ's 2,000 video release, and the controversies surrounding each.
STEVE BANNON DOCUMENTARY FOOTAGE — ~15 HOURS (NEVER PUBLICLY RELEASED)
The Rehabilitation Tapes
Between 2018 and 2019, Steve Bannon filmed approximately 15 hours of video footage with Jeffrey Epstein at his Manhattan townhouse — reportedly framed as a documentary. In reality, investigative reporters at The Hollywood Reporter found, the footage was intended as preparation for a '60 Minutes'-style media rehabilitation tour that Epstein hoped would rehabilitate his image after his 2008 sex offender conviction — and was paid for by Epstein himself.
Bannon had not publicly disclosed the tapes until pressure from MAGA supporters forced the issue in 2025. At a Turning Point USA event in July 2025, Congresswoman Anna Paulina Luna publicly called on Bannon to release his own Epstein files. Bannon has not released the tapes. Author Michael Wolff (who separately interviewed Epstein) said he has no idea where the footage currently resides, and suggested Bannon may have no ownership rights to it.
The tapes' contents remain unknown. Given that Bannon was simultaneously a close Trump adviser during this period and Epstein was discussing Trump extensively in private communications, the potential significance of these tapes is considerable. No legal mechanism has yet compelled their release.
CONFIRMED — footage existence, Hollywood Reporter (July 2025)ALLEGED — contents; not publicly released
MICHAEL WOLFF / EPSTEIN AUDIO RECORDINGS — PUBLISHED EXCERPTS
Epstein Speaks — The Wolff Tapes
Author Michael Wolff, who interviewed Epstein for his books on Trump (Fire and Fury and Siege), conducted recorded interviews with Epstein. The Daily Beast reported obtaining recordings in which Epstein spoke at length about Trump — calling him "a horrible human being" who "does nasty things to his best friends, best friends' wives." Epstein used a racial slur to describe Black women and alleged Trump bragged about sexual encounters.
On the tapes Epstein described Trump as: "Charming. In a devious way, he's charming." He also described Trump as doing "a pretty good job at certain things" as president while criticizing him personally.
Epstein admitted in a deposition (released after his death) that he sometimes dropped names of people he had never actually met — a critical caveat for assessing any Epstein name-dropping. Trump's camp called the tape recordings "false smears."
Wolff also received multiple emails from Epstein in which they discussed how to handle Trump's Epstein-connection questions during the 2016 campaign — the "let him hang himself" strategic advice email was from Wolff to Epstein (released Nov 2025).

EPSTEIN'S OWN VIDEOS — SELF-RECORDED + DOWNLOADED CONTENT (2,000 VIDEOS RELEASED JAN 2026)
The DOJ Video Release
The January 30, 2026 DOJ document release included over 2,000 videos as part of the 3-million-page document dump. The Free Press reviewed all video clips from "Data Set 10" and published a compilation of 14 hours of footage. Contents included:
• Videos Epstein recorded himself — including explicit footage of himself; most sexually explicit content was redacted by the DOJ, with only watermarks visible.
• Drone footage of Little St. James Island — providing visual documentation of the island's layout and facilities, including the controversial blue-and-white temple structure.
• Epstein's U.S. passport — bearing a message identifying him as a convicted sex offender.
• The Steve Bannon documentary footage — a lengthy interview Bannon filmed with Epstein for the proposed rehabilitation documentary.
Critics noted that the most significant potential evidence — recordings of elites in compromising situations, if they existed — appears either not to have been included in the release or was among the redacted material. Victims' families expressed outrage that the DOJ failed to redact the identities of at least 31 people who were victimized as children, while simultaneously redacting the names of alleged perpetrators.

THE MCC PRISON SURVEILLANCE FOOTAGE — THE MISSING MINUTE
The Night Epstein Died — A Controversial Video Record
The surveillance footage from Metropolitan Correctional Center (MCC) on the night of Epstein's death (Aug 9–10, 2019) has become one of the most scrutinized pieces of video evidence in the case. A detailed timeline of what happened with the footage:
Original footage issues: The DOJ Inspector General reported that a failure of the digital video recording system resulted in the loss of most footage from the night of Epstein's death. Several cameras were functioning but unmonitored.
What the released video shows: At 7:49 p.m., Epstein is seen on camera for the first and last time, emerging from a stairwell accompanied by a corrections officer after an unmonitored phone call (reportedly with his girlfriend in Belarus). The camera then rolls for 11 hours with no sign of Epstein until guards rush across frame at 6:30 a.m.
The "missing minute": In July 2025, the DOJ released video covering 7:40 p.m. to 6:40 a.m. AG Pam Bondi said a minute was missing because the prison recording system had a "nightly reset." CBS News investigations revealed this was misleading: the master evidence tape (item 1B60) had been authorized for destruction by an FBI agent in June 2024, described as "no longer pertinent." When the DOJ needed to reconstruct it in mid-2025, agents used a screen recording tool on a NiceVision DVR copy — and Adobe Premiere could not properly merge the files, creating the gap. Bondi's "nightly reset" explanation was contradicted by video forensics experts.
Congress releases fuller footage: In September 2025, the House Oversight Committee released a version covering 6 p.m. to 7 a.m. — 2 hours longer than the DOJ version, including the "missing minute." This longer version shows Epstein being brought upstairs to make the phone call hours earlier.
CBS News analysis: CBS digitally reconstructed the Special Housing Unit and found the video does not provide a clear view of the entrance to Epstein's cell block, contradicting officials' claims. Multiple witness statements were found to be inconsistent with what the video actually shows. The review did not refute the suicide conclusion but identified serious accuracy problems with the official account.
Master tape destroyed: The fact that the original master evidence recording was authorized for destruction — for a case involving the highest-profile prisoner in the facility — has never been satisfactorily explained by the DOJ or FBI.
CONFIRMED — evidence tape destruction; Bondi's misleading explanation; CBS analysis; Congressional releaseALLEGED — homicide; CBS analysis does not support homicide conclusion
PALM BEACH POLICE — ALFREDO RODRIGUEZ VIDEO INTERVIEW
The Butler Speaks
Epstein's former butler Alfredo Rodriguez was interviewed on video and gave detailed accounts of operations at Epstein's Palm Beach mansion — including paying cash to young girls who visited. In the released video, Rodriguez names people including Ghislaine Maxwell, Ehud Barak (alleging Barak flew with girls on Epstein's plane), and Alan Dershowitz (saying Dershowitz was at the house several times, usually having wine by the pool, with young girls — sometimes topless or naked — nearby, though Dershowitz reportedly did not go upstairs where "hanky-panky" occurred). Rodriguez also named George Mitchell, saying Mitchell was at the house "every day" asking Epstein for donations. Rodriguez stated: "You can bring this guy down in like no time" — referring to Barak.
Rodriguez was later convicted of obstruction of justice for attempting to sell Epstein's black book rather than turning it over to investigators. He died in 2015.

BLOOMBERG — 18,700 EPSTEIN EMAILS FROM YAHOO ACCOUNT (SEPT 2025)
The Email Cache
In September 2025, Bloomberg News independently obtained approximately 18,700 emails from one of Epstein's personal Yahoo accounts (jeeproject@yahoo.com), spanning 2002 through 2022. Bloomberg used cryptographic verification, metadata analysis, and corroboration with external sources to authenticate the cache — four independent experts reviewed the methodology and found no meaningful evidence of fabrication. The account was most active from October 2005 through August 2008 (during and around Epstein's first conviction).
This independent cache provides a parallel and separately verified record of Epstein's communications distinct from the DOJ-controlled file releases — significant given concerns about selective redaction in government releases.
CONFIRMED — Bloomberg Sept 2025; four independent expert verifications
WIRED — LOCATION DATA: 200 DEVICES TRACKED FROM EPSTEIN'S ISLAND
The Island Visitor Data
Wired investigators purchased location data from Near Intelligence covering multiple residences on Epstein's private island. The data covered July 2016 to July 6, 2019 (the day of Epstein's arrest). The cache linked 200 mobile devices to the island, and tracked those devices to approximately 166 locations in the United States, as well as cities in Ukraine, the Cayman Islands, and Australia. This data represents a partial picture of who visited the island in Epstein's final active years — and where they subsequently traveled. The identities behind those 200 devices have not been publicly disclosed.

ARRESTS — THE FIRST CRIMINAL CONSEQUENCES
FEBRUARY 2026 — UK
FEBRUARY 19, 2026 — ANDREW MOUNTBATTEN-WINDSOR ARRESTED
First Senior British Royal Arrested in Nearly 400 Years
Thames Valley Police arrested Andrew Mountbatten-Windsor (formerly Prince Andrew, stripped of all titles by King Charles in November 2025) on suspicion of misconduct in public office. Officers searched his addresses in Berkshire and Norfolk. He was held for 11 hours and released "under investigation" — neither charged nor exonerated.
The allegation: while serving as UK trade envoy (2001–2011), Andrew forwarded confidential official trade reports from Singapore, Vietnam, and China to Epstein shortly after receiving them. The offense carries a maximum sentence of life imprisonment under English law.
King Charles III issued a statement: "I have learned with the deepest concern the news about Andrew Mountbatten-Windsor and suspicion of misconduct in public office. What now follows is the full, fair and proper process by which this issue is investigated in the appropriate manner."
Royal biographer Andrew Lownie warned the fallout could "bring down King Charles," as scrutiny intensified over what he knew. Released Epstein files also showed a 2010 email in which Andrew invited Epstein to Buckingham Palace for "private time."
ARRESTED — under investigation; no charges yetCONFIRMED — Thames Valley Police statement, Feb 19 2026
FEBRUARY 23, 2026 — PETER MANDELSON ARRESTED
UK's Former US Ambassador Arrested — "My Best Pal"
London Metropolitan Police arrested Peter Mandelson, 72, from his north London home on suspicion of misconduct in public office — the same charge as Andrew. Mandelson was filmed being led from his home in a grey sweater by plainclothes officers. He was released on bail after hours of questioning. Two properties (in Wiltshire and Camden) were searched.
The allegation: while serving as Business Secretary and EU Trade Commissioner, Mandelson passed sensitive, potentially market-moving government information to Epstein — including advance notice of a €500 billion EU bailout, an internal government assessment of bankers' bonus taxes, and meeting minutes from Downing Street briefings. In one email, Mandelson called Epstein "my best pal." A released image showed Mandelson in his underwear next to an unidentified woman; Mandelson said he could not place the image.
Mandelson had already: been fired as UK Ambassador to Washington by PM Keir Starmer (September 2025), resigned from the Labour Party (February 2026), and resigned from the House of Lords. His arrest nearly brought down the Starmer government, triggering the resignation of Starmer's chief of staff.

Released files showed Jagland and his family visited Epstein's residences in New York and Florida, visited his private island, and had all travel expenses paid by Epstein. Epstein arranged meetings for Jagland, tried to connect him to Russian President Vladimir Putin, and connected him to Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov. The charge carries up to 10 years imprisonment. Jagland denies all charges.

TECH BILLIONAIRES NAMED IN 2026 RELEASES — 20+ EXECUTIVES DOCUMENTED
ELON MUSK — "What night will be the WILDEST party?"
Emails released in the January 2026 DOJ dump revealed Musk actively trying to arrange a visit to Epstein's island in 2012. In a November 25, 2012 exchange: Epstein asked how many people Musk was bringing for the helicopter ride; Musk replied: "Probably just Talulah and me" (his then-wife Talulah Riley). Musk then asked: "What day/night will be the wildest party on your island?"
On Christmas Day 2012, Musk sent another note: "Do you have any parties planned? I've been working to the edge of sanity this year, and so, once my kids head home after Christmas, I really want to hit the party scene in St. Barts or elsewhere and let loose." In 2013, Epstein asked Musk to come for Christmas, noting Woody Allen was with him and that Musk "might enjoy" the trip.
These emails directly contradict Musk's prior public claim that he had "REFUSED" Epstein's island invitations. Musk's post-release response on X: "I have never been to any Epstein parties ever and have many times called for the prosecution of those who have committed crimes with Epstein." Leon Black confirmed in his June 2026 House testimony that Epstein's network included Musk.

HOWARD LUTNICK — Trump Commerce Secretary — Island Visit 2012
Files showed Lutnick's wife Allison coordinated with Epstein's assistant Lesley Groff to bring her family (four children) to Epstein's island in 2012, anchoring their boat near Little St. James. Lutnick himself was invited for lunch with Epstein on the island; on December 24, 2012, someone wrote to Lutnick on Epstein's behalf saying "it was nice seeing you."
This directly contradicts Lutnick's October 2025 claim to the New York Post that he and his wife had cut ties with Epstein in 2005 after seeing Epstein's massage room. Commerce Department: "Secretary Lutnick had limited interactions with Mr. Epstein in the presence of his wife and has never been accused of wrongdoing." Lutnick voluntarily agreed to testify to the House Oversight Committee, March 2026.
CONFIRMED — 2012 island visit emails in DOJ release
SERGEY BRIN — Google Co-Founder
Multiple email exchanges with Ghislaine Maxwell in 2003, including offering to bring then-Google CEO Eric Schmidt to a dinner at Epstein's New York estate. Maxwell told Brin: "Dinners at Jeffrey's are always happily casual and relaxed." A photo shows Brin at the 2011 "Billionaires' Dinner." Epstein accuser Sarah Ransome claimed in 2024 court documents that she met Brin and his then-fiancée Anne Wojcicki on Epstein's private island. Brin has not commented.
PETER THIEL — PayPal / Palantir / Valar Ventures Co-Founder
Appears in thousands of the new Epstein documents. Correspondence ran from approximately 2014 to 2019 — well after Epstein's 2008 conviction. Meeting plans, dietary details sent to Epstein's staff for Thiel. In 2015–16, Epstein invested $40 million in funds managed by Thiel's Valar Ventures. In an audio recording, Epstein advised Barak how to leverage connections to get a lucrative position, floating Palantir (Thiel's company) as an option. Epstein invited Thiel to "the Caribbean"; Thiel's rep says he never visited the island. Thiel confirmed meeting Epstein several times starting in 2014, introduced by Reid Hoffman.
